Farm Bureau hosted a teacher training on how to incorporate agriculture into their classroom. Tracy Bentley (Western Sugar) spent time with the group at the factory discussing how sugar is made. Michael Ann Relka (Western Sugar) then took the group out to a grower’s farm where they looked at a field of beets and some of the harvesting equipment. Then Farm Bureau spent the afternoon providing the teachers with hands-on ways they can incorporate ag in their lesson plans.
