Western Sugar participated in Trick or Treat Street, a family-fun event in Brush, CO, where nearly 30 vendors attended and handed out candy. Several employees also participated in the pumpkin decorating contest.

Western Sugar hosted several factory tours over the last few months. One tour was with a local group of families who coordinate home school education together. Another was with a 6th grade class at Prairie Middle School. Sugar donations were given to each group of visitors for the holiday season.
Western Sugar is a proud sponsor of the 2023-2024 FMHS football team. The sponsorship helps cover the cost of gear and equipment for the team. Go Mustangs!

The Sugar Beet Classic is a triathlon hosted annually by the Powell Swim Club. Proceeds are used towards new equipment and help offset the monthly operating costs of the Powell Swim Club, which offers swim programs at reduced rates to youth in the community.
In August, Western Sugar’s Longmont Terminal celebrated 10 years without a recordable injury. We are incredibly proud of the team in Longmont for consistently prioritizing the well-being of employees and accomplishing this safety milestone.
Western Sugar supported a legislator tour where they discussed the importance of sugar beets in Colorado and our many sustainability initiatives and successes. We appreciate the 11 legislators joining our tour and supporting agriculture in Colorado.
The Lovell facility sponsored the North Big Horn Hospital Golf Tournament. The money raised will be used to update the family waiting room at the hospital.
The Lovell Factory donated sugar-themed baskets to the North Big Horn Search and Rescue. The S & R had a demolition derby over Mustang Days (hometown celebration). The money that was raised from raffle tickets will go towards purchasing new equipment. The NBHS&R is vital to our community as they provide land and water rescues.
WSC Lovell Factory donated gift cards to Grad Night Out. This is a 2-day event for two local high schools. Lovell High School, graduating 41 students, and Rocky Mountain School, graduating 23 students. Grad Night Out is a safe place for the graduating Seniors to go after graduation.
