Lovell Supports the North Big Horn County Volunteer Fire Department
Western Sugar donated to the North Big Horn County Fire Department. The money was used to create 180 food baskets which were distributed to families in the local community.

The Hazardous and Household Waste Collection Day encourages farmers and ranchers to dispose of all unused or old pesticides and fertilizers to keep the residue from breaking down and leaching into well heads and nearby ground water. Western Sugar supports disposing these types of items in the correct way.
MATHCOUNTS is a non-profit organization that offers extracurricular math activities to students in grades 6th-8th across the United States. Their programs build problem solving skills and positive attitudes about math, so students embrace challenges and expand their academic and career opportunities in the future. Western Sugar is a proud sponsor.
Many seniors across the country haven’t been able to celebrate their graduations due to the pandemic. Western Sugar helped to make this time special by donating gift cards to graduating seniors to celebrate their accomplishments. The graduates receiving gift cards were from Lovell High School, Rocky Mountain High School, and Powell High school.
The COVID-19 pandemic has left cleaning supplies in scarce supply. Western Sugar has supported their local community by donating disinfectant to the City of Kimball as well as the Scottsbluff Volunteer Center, who delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly. The Lovell Factory hosted a Pizza and Wings dinner for the area’s First Responders. Those attending included the Lovell Police Department, North Big Horn Hospital Ambulance, North Big Horn Sheriff’s Department and the Lovell Volunteer Fire Department. In support of the North Big Horn Hospital, The Lovell Factory donated sugar baskets for their local golf tournament
The Angel Fund is a program designed to serve underprivileged students of the Billings West High School population. They discreetly provide clothes, school supplies, and pay meal plans for students in need. Western Sugar’s Billings facility donated funds to provide meals to the students in the program.

The Lovell Factory gave a tour to the LDS Young Men’s. The guests were very excited to see the inside of the factory and the processing of sugar beets. Shannon Ellis, Factory Manager gave the tour.
