High School members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) program have volunteered to man a booth with Western Sugar farmers at Sterling, Colorado’s Sugar Beet Days. This annual event is a great way for the community to get together and celebrate another harvest season. Western Sugar representatives Shawn Brecht and Rebecca Larson were joined by Western Sugar growers Jack Breidenbach and Kevin Vollmer to share experiences and knowledge around GMOs with the FFA students in preparation for the festival.
