The Scottsbluff Facility hosted a sugar tour for the Scottsbluff/Gering Chamber of Commerce. Funds from the tour supported scholarships for ag students in the local community. *Photo from KNEB

The Lovell Factory gave a tour to the LDS Young Men’s. The guests were very excited to see the inside of the factory and the processing of sugar beets. Shannon Ellis, Factory Manager gave the tour.

Francine Britton and Rachel Stroud from the Billings facility supported the Chase Hawks Memorial Association’s dinner and rodeo on December 20th and 21st, which raised money for people with Ag-related medical costs. The Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce host the downtown Holiday Mingle. Starting at 8 am with the Reindeer Dash, a movie at 11, Santa at 1, Christmas Tree lighting, and many more fun activities for everyone. Western Sugar Cooperative donated the candy canes for Santa to give to the children.

Burn the Point is an annual car show hosted by the Chase Hawks Memorial Association, who helps families in a crisis within the Billings community. Thousands of people watch the stunning collection of classic cars and trucks on display. Proceeds help the Chase Hawks Memorial provide for the families.

RiverStone Health Foundation hosted their Annual 5K on Saturday, September 7th. Western Sugar was a proud sponsor of the event. Proceeds benefit Riverstone Reads, a literacy program that adds a discussion of reading at each well-child exam. They also provide a free book to children through the age of 18.

The Western Sugar Scottsbluff facility was a sponsor for CASA’s fundraising event, “Evening of Hope”. The event raises funds each year for CASA and CAPstone, two organizations that focus on helping children in child abuse and neglect cases.

On August 31st, 2019 the Western Sugar Scottsbluff facility sponsored Hope on the East Side’s community event and car show. The event served to promote healthy living in the Scottsbluff area and to assist in the recovery of chemical abuse within the community.
