On July 2nd, a group of interns that are currently interning at Westco in Nebraska met at Scottsbluff facility to learn more about the sugar beet crop, and the process of turning it into sugar. They spent the day discussing the sugar beets, the industry and were given a tour of the facility, where they saw how sugar is packaged.
