Apple juice, canned or bottled, is always available, so pick the berries at their best!


  • 4 cups GW Granulated Sugar
  • 2 cups halved strawberries
  • 2 cups (1 pt.) canned or bottled apple juice
  • 2 Tbs. strained lemon juice
  • 1 pkg (2 1/2 oz) powdered fruit pectin


  1. Wash, hull, halve strawberries
  2. Combine drained berries and juices in kettle
  3. Add pectin and mix well
  4. Bring to a rolling boil over high head, stirring constantly
  5. Blend in GW Granulated Sugar, continuing to stir as mixture is brought back to a rolling boil
  6. Boil 1 or 2 minutes (according to general jelly directions in pectin brand pamphlet)
  7. Remove from heat; skim
  8. Pour into hot sterilized glasses

*Makes about 5 8-ounce glasses
