Lovell Main Street Flower Program

Western Sugar Cooperative donated toward the Main Street Flower Program for the Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce. The flowers are grown by a group of volunteers who are dedicated to beautifying the town with their flowers. The flowers are grown along Main Street to symbolize the pride they have for the community.

Fort Morgan Fire Department Golf Tournament

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Western Sugar Cooperative sponsored the Fort Morgan Fire Department’s 39th annual golf tournament at the Quail Dunes Golf Course in Fort Morgan. The Lovell Factory recently made a sweet contribution to the North Big Horn Hospital Foundation Golf Tournament by donating sugar bags. On Wednesday, July 17, the employees of the Scottsbluff facility and Nebraska terminals were celebrated with an Employee Appreciation Breakfast. The breakfast was served by members from the upper management team, catered by Two Smoking Grills.

Westco Interns Visit Scottsbluff

WSC participates in Wheels to Work

Austyn Butcher, Maintenance Planner for Fort Morgan WSC, participated in the 1st annual Wheels to Work at Brush Middle School in May. Three hundred students attended the event where they had the opportunity to look at various vehicles and pieces of equipment to help understand how wheels function and what role they play in their community.

Edward Dardon sworn in as American Citizen

Edward Dardon, Plant Manager at our Fort Morgan factory, became an official citizen of the United States in February. Pictured above at the oath of allegiance ceremony, Edward and others are sworn in as the final step of the naturalization process. We are all so proud of him!

Wiggins Career Fair

Western Sugar attended the Wiggins Career Fair on March 27th, 2024. Students were able to engage with over 25 companies and business professionals to learn about the various job positions they had to offer.

Trick or Treat Street

Western Sugar participated in Trick or Treat Street, a family-fun event in Brush, CO, where nearly 30 vendors attended and handed out candy. Several employees also participated in the pumpkin decorating contest. 

Tours hosted at Fort Morgan

Western Sugar hosted several factory tours over the last few months. One tour was with a local group of families who coordinate home school education together. Another was with a 6th grade class at Prairie Middle School. Sugar donations were given to each group of visitors for the holiday season.

Fort Morgan High School Sponsorship

Western Sugar is a proud sponsor of the 2023-2024 FMHS football team. The sponsorship helps cover the cost of gear and equipment for the team. Go Mustangs!
