Location:  Lovell, Wyoming

 

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership. Working with others to perform against the plant site safety plan with the goal of being a zero injury workplace.
  • Commitment to regular attendance
  • Operate various machine tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
  • Record all data necessary to produce expected service and /or design results, including sizing and illustrations.
  • Use measuring devices and techniques correctly to assure proper sizing’s.
  • Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring and conventional mill and lathe work using various lathes (e.g. Horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring mills.)
  • Perform various metalizing (metal spraying) techniques as needed. Understand materials and applications as required.
  • Perform various welding operations, including setup and use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.
  • Set up and perform tool-post grinding operations (e.g. precision surface facing), broaching procedures and Babbitt bearing work.
  • Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to: band saws, hand grinders, files, etc.
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
  • Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel with skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor

 

Skill & Experience Requirements

 

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Maintenance/mechanical experience working with process and packaging equipment
  • Basic understanding of vibration equipment, laser alignment, and oil analysis
  • Independent decision-making ability
  • Possess time management skills
  • Proven trouble shooting skills and ability
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of sugar factory processes a plus
