Position Overview

The Western Sugar Cooperative has a great opportunity for a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager is responsible for biweekly payroll for the Denver location and coordinates the by weekly payroll for 4 manufacturing plants. The Payroll Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: department development, ADP Workforce Now and Time and Attendance, payroll policies and procedures, reconciliation of pay deductions, data accuracy in ADP

 

Essential Functions

Prepares and submits biweekly payroll for Corporate

Coordinates and submits biweekly payroll for 4 manufacturing sites

Manages time cards, time entry, and timekeeping software and systems

Manages gross ups, special pay rates, pay changes, and taxation

Reconciles deductions for federal taxes, 401k, health benefits, and unions

Coordinates and reconciles garnishment deduction with ADP and the manufacturing sites

Supports onboarding records in ADP and ensures accuracy of data

Creates and enters general ledger files and reconciles ADP to SAP

Creates and analyzes overtime reports and distributes to management

Prepares and files federal, state, and local government reports

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements

Manages 401k audits, retirement plans, advisor meetings, and record keeping

Writes and implements policies and procedures

Maintains professional and technical knowledge

Provides continuous training to the team on configuration and regulations

Contributes to team building and works across departments

 

Skill & Experience Requirements

2-3 years experience in ADP Workforce Now and Enhanced Time and Attendance

2-3 years experience in payroll and administration

Certified Payroll Professional preferred

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Administration

Excellent verbal, written, group facilitation, and presentation skills

Excellent computer skill incl. Excel, Webex, Word

Experience working with SAP preferred
