Title:  Maintenance/ Environmental Utility

 

Wage: $20.85

 

Location:  Fort Morgan, Colorado

 

Position Overview

 

The Maintenance/Environmental Utility is part of a team responsible for the troubleshooting, repair of  mechanical equipment, and pond maintenance throughout the facility.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership
  • Responsible for the maintenance of pumping equipment and aeration equipment throughout the facility
  • Responsible for welding, cutting, setting equipment and dismantling equipment
  • Responsible for using hand and power tools
  • Work day shift with the possibility of moving to an off shift when needed
  • Commitment to regular attendance
  • Pond sampling
  • Air sampling
  • Ability to operate large equipment
  • Able to work outside for extended period of time

 

Skill & Experience Requirements

 

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Maintenance/mechanical experience working with pumps and blowers preferred
  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • Possess time management skills
  • Proven trouble shooting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Air and smoke certifications or ability to obtain certifications
  • Waste water treatment license or the ability to obtain license
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of sugar factory processes a plus
