Identify & reduce areas of sugar losses; Improve process efficiencies, run data analysis; Manage QMS & operation processes, implement quality & process improvements; Evaluate performance of sugar beet process aids, process techniques & testing methods. Up to 50% domestic travel. Requires Bach. (Chem. or Microbio.) & 3 yrs. exp. Must have exp.: in beet sugar industry working in quality & operations; BRC standards; analytical lab exp. w/ sugar; SAP & LIMS; using, maintaining & calibrating analytical instruments (NMR, GPC, DSC, GC/MS, HPLC, & ELISA techniques); OSHA, USDA, EPA & regulatory bodies; cert. & coursework in food safety; cert. & coursework in FSMA; implementing FSMA regulations; HACCP cert.; building & maintaining HACCP; internal auditor cert.; 3rd party audits, customer audits, self-audits; Food Defense Coordinator cert.; food defense planning; SQF practitioner cert.; SQF exp.; PCQI cert.; HARPC implementation.
