Position Overview
As a Mechanic, your role is to safely carry out the preventative and predictive maintenance of all our pile ground equipment and manufacturing equipment. Furthermore, to safely troubleshoot, repair, and improve the functionality and reliability for all mechanical installations and repairs. Be a self-motivated team member and possess good organizational and time management skills.
- Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership
- Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat or the willingness to obtain the certification/licensing
- Precision leveling and alignment of a power transmission system
- Complete understanding of pipe-fitting and valve systems
- Proficiency in diesel mechanics, loaders and trucks
- Experience with heavy equipment maintenance and operation
- Demonstrate understanding of basic hydraulics
- Demonstrate understanding of 480-voltage electrical systems
- Expert rigging skills
- Blueprint reading
- Demonstrate good math skills using angles and decimal dimensions used in layout and precision work
- Demonstrate proper bolt selection and torque procedures
- Understand all aspects of power transmission lubrication
- Familiar with using precision tools
- Excellent mechanical-system-troubleshooting skills
- Produce a weld equivalent to AWS D1.1 3G SMAW following accepted setup and safety procedures.
- Participate in root cause and corrective actions to process chokepoints
- Excellent verbal, written, communications
- Be able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Required to work flexible hours during harvest
- Strong customer focus mind-set
- Friendly, results oriented, and collaborative
- Be able to handle several priorities at one time
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience Requirements (Years/Type):
At least two years of experience working in preventative and routine maintenance in a manufacturing, technical, or military environment
Travel Requirements, if any (please indicate percentage):
Up to 20%
