The Fire Department makes 180 food baskets with donations for the Christmas holiday. Fort Morgan’s facility has a new bowling team! So far, they are in 3rd place, but they still have several months left to bowl. Left to right on the picture is Noah Wooldridge, Matt Wooldridge, Trevor Schrum, Rob Wooldridge, Greg Enfante (Maintenance Supervisor) and finally Bryson Wooldridge.
On Friday and Saturday, November 22-23, Western Sugar’s Fort Morgan Facility entered a tree into the Vision of Trees, hosted by The Sanctuary. The tree was decorated by students at Kids at Their Best with small bags of cotton candy.
On October 17, 2024, the Fort Morgan community honored Stewart Norrish as he retired from Western Sugar after 38.5 years of dedicated service. Throughout his tenure as an Agriculturist, Stewart made significant contributions to our cooperative. His last day with us was October 18th. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors!
In July 2024, Western Sugar Cooperative had a booth at the BobStock event in Fort Morgan! On October 5th, Brush, CO hosted their 42nd Oktoberfest. On Saturday, October 5, Western Sugar Cooperative had two teams run in the United Way Color Run, which is sponsored by Western Sugar. One of the Fort Morgan facility’s teams came in first place with all entries from Morgan County! Congratulations to our first place winners, Jesus Gallardo-Garcia and Jose Irizarry-Roman, representing Western Sugar Cooperative!
Western Sugar Cooperative donated toward the Main Street Flower Program for the Lovell Area Chamber of Commerce. The flowers are grown by a group of volunteers who are dedicated to beautifying the town with their flowers. The flowers are grown along Main Street to symbolize the pride they have for the community.
On Saturday, July 6, 2024, Western Sugar Cooperative sponsored the Fort Morgan Fire Department’s 39th annual golf tournament at the Quail Dunes Golf Course in Fort Morgan.
