MATHCOUNTS is a non-profit organization that offers extracurricular math activities to students in grades 6th-8th across the United States. Their programs build problem solving skills and positive attitudes about math, so students embrace challenges and expand their academic and career opportunities in the future. Many seniors across the country haven’t been able to celebrate their graduations due to the pandemic. Western Sugar helped to make this time special by donating gift cards to graduating seniors to celebrate their accomplishments. The graduates receiving gift cards were from Lovell High School, Rocky Mountain High School, and Powell High school.
The COVID-19 pandemic has left cleaning supplies in scarce supply. Western Sugar has supported their local community by donating disinfectant to the City of Kimball as well as the Scottsbluff Volunteer Center, who delivered Meals on Wheels to the elderly.
